Blogging tips to overcome content writer’s block
One of the biggest stumbling blocks for content newcomers is discovering where to start. You might initially approach the task with a head full of ideas, but can’t quite put pen to paper (or finger to button in this case).
Starting off can be the biggest hurdle, if you force yourself to just start typing, more often than not you will find an avalanche of words pour out. A lot of it might be half-baked or useless. It is simply a matter of writing everything down while you are on a roll and picking out the good from the bad afterwards.
Once you have your blurb or rant (depends on how much you write), you can go through with a fine-toothed comb and perfect it to your liking. It is generally much harder to write a little meaningful content than a lot that maybe isn’t so good. It is best to write something that will spark an interest or debate. Don’t be afraid of expressing your views as long as the situation suits it.
Another key factor is to try and make your content as SEO friendly as possible. Use blogging software that has built-in search engine optimisation functions, like WordPress. If you are aiming to put keywords in the text, make the text meaningful, not just an advertisement.
If at all possible, write a title that is catchy and also includes the keyword to improve the relevance for that particular phrase. It is also useful to word the title in a way that might match what people will search for.
Before writing your blog or article it is important to have a quick think beforehand of some general ideas. Despite what I mentioned earlier you shouldn’t just blindly write anything, just write as much as you can whilst still relating to the original point and then edit afterwards.
