Kwik Fit Insurance makes an appearance on Facebook

Kwik Fit Insurance is appearing on Facebook by offering the social networking site a “widget” which consumers can program to know the hours and minutes left until their next holiday.

The site’s 150 million consumers can look for the application listing of Kwik Fit’s reminder facility and follow the on-screen directions to install a holiday countdown clock.

Reminders for anniversaries, birthdays and such annual events like insurance renewals can also be included in the Facebook widget. If you are not a regular Facebook user then you can be reminded by emails sent out by the system.

Undoubtedly, Kwit Fit Insurance will gain from a presence on Facebook as the company has approximately 140,000 consumers between the key age range of the users on the site i.e. between 18 to 35 years.

Michael Lynch, the head of marketing and e-Commerce said that the company is enthusiastic to explore new means to promote the brand to reach potential consumers.

So far, Kwik Fit has had a successful journey. They experienced a 20% increase in sales of home insurance policies and a 12% year on year increase in their motor business.

Brendan Devine have been appointed to the Managing Director of Kwik Fit Financial Services. They announced plans to expand in areas such as household insurance, motorbike and van insurance and to build on its car insurance policies.
