Yahoo experiments with micro blogging service like Twitter

Yahoo’s special service “Meme” has been a topic of discussion for quite some time. Meme, is a micro blogging service which is eerily similar to Twitter.

A few months ago a similar version of Meme was launched in Portuguese but nothing has been made clear as to whether a similar service will be launched in English for public use in the UK. Since the Spanish launch of Meme was not anticipated, this move by Yahoo has sent ripples of expectation across the UK.

Previously, Yahoo announced officially that it will collaborate with social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter to make the experience of Yahoo users better. The launch of several versions of Meme has thus left the experts confused about Yahoo’s intentions.

Yahoo made an official announcement regarding the matter stating that the company is experimenting with a new communications tool in Latin American which is available for use only by invitation. It is also said that Yahoo will take measures to keep up its services in accordance with global innovations for better user experience.

Since any further comment has not been made, it seems people will have to wait to know if there will be an English version of Meme.
