Remember that mobile phones can access the Internet too

With more and more smartphones penetrating the mobile phone market, the percentage of users browsing websites using these devices is starting to steadily climb.

But is your website ready to be viewed from a mobile device?

With the popularity of browsers such as Mobile Opera, Mobile Safari and Android increasing daily, it’s important that visitors landing on your page from search engines are able to read your content, otherwise you are losing out on potential business.

The easiest way of doing this is by creating a sub domain of your website which mobile users can be redirected to, depending on their user agent. This method is common with many big websites such as Google and Yahoo. Another way is to simply test your main website with a range of mobile phones to see if they hold up, if they do, then there is nothing to worry about.

Once your SEO campaign is successful you will be attracting traffic from many different sources, which you will be able to study using a product such as Google Analytics. If you start to see a strong amount of mobile users, then it is now time to take action.
